About Josh Marianelli
Josh Dick is an American photographer currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Josh entered the photo industry working for Mother Jones Magazine in 2000, moving on shortly thereafter to work as a camera assistant, digital tech and studio manager for Menuez Pictures in Sausalito, CA and Woodstock, NY. In New York City, Josh has worked and traveled as a freelance camera and lighting assistant, and digital capture technician. Additionally, Josh has taught Apple’s digital capture software, "Aperture" across the U.S., as well as at the Rich Clarkson Photo Workshop Series.
In 2008 Josh started his own photography career and has worked and traveled on assignment to Canada, India, Italy, Laos, Mexico, Morocco, Nicaragua, South Africa, Thailand, U.A.E., and throughout the United States.
Josh Dick's recent work includes photo-essays on the Mekong River, Hat Chao Mai National Park, Thailand, The Urak Lawoi’, fresh water supply and usage in South Africa and India, aerial imagery of the New York City watershed and reportage covering the Pakistani Peace Builders NY Sufi Music Festival, The Iowa International Writers Program Cultural Exchange in Morocco and the Clinton Global Initiative. His work has been published in the Guardian UK, CNN.com, ABCNews.com, and the Huffington Post.
